How it's worked out
Every Mounjaro KwikPen gives a full labelled dose in 60 clicks, whatever its strength. To get a 7.5mg dose from a 10mg pen you take the fraction of a full dose you need and multiply by 60:
(7.5 ÷ 10) × 60 = 45 clicks
That works out to about 0.167mg per click, or 0.45ml for the whole 7.5mg dose. Because you're dialling less than the pen's full 10mg dose, a single pen stretches to roughly 5 doses of 7.5mg — about 5 weeks if you inject once a week, versus four weeks at the full dose.
A KwikPen holds 240 usable clicks in total (four full doses). If you're mixing dose sizes from one pen — for example while titrating up — the pen tracker keeps a running total of what's left, and the titration planner maps the clicks for each step.
