How it's worked out
Every Mounjaro KwikPen gives a full labelled dose in 60 clicks, whatever its strength. To get a 5mg dose from a 7.5mg pen you take the fraction of a full dose you need and multiply by 60:
(5 ÷ 7.5) × 60 = 40 clicks
That works out to about 0.125mg per click, or 0.4ml for the whole 5mg dose. Because you're dialling less than the pen's full 7.5mg dose, a single pen stretches to roughly 6 doses of 5mg — about 6 weeks if you inject once a week, versus four weeks at the full dose.
